Study Programme Structure
The structure of the IESLCE Engineering study programme has been designed with three levels, Certificate, Advanced Diploma and the Graduate Diploma. The programme provides a good balance between theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Most of the modules include laboratory sessions so that the students can obtain hands-on-experience to enhance the theoretical knowledge disseminated through lectures. The practical sessions are conducted at the University of Moratuwa and the Open University of Sri Lanka whereas the theory classes are conducted at the College premises in Colombo.
The curriculum is continuously revised to improve its quality and relevance and also to promote outcome-based education, gearing the students to be successful in a dynamic and challenging work environment. Industrial training in relevant disciplines has also been integrated into the curriculum to make the academic programme more meaningful. The programme is offered at an affordable fee and the medium of instruction is English.
